Peter Crowe Chairman
Peter has been involved in Forestry all of his working life, commencing as a
Undergraduate Trainee with the Forestry Commission of NSW and retiring 47 years
later as Director Planted Forest Operations, Forests NSW. Peter currently runs
his own consultancy business. He has been the Chairman of the Softwoods Working
Group since 1991 working with local councils, state and federal agencies to
obtain funding for major upgrades of regional arterial roads. Peter is married
to Fay and they live at Thurgoona.

Cr Brian Mitsch
Brian is the Mayor of the Deniliquin Council and is a Registered Land Surveyor
and a Certified Practicing Planner . Cr Mitsch runs a Survey and Planning
Practice in Deniliquin. Elected as a Councillor to Deniliquin Council in 1999,
Brian was Mayor in 2000 and again in 2009. Brian has served on the Murray
Catchment Management Committee (1993—1998) and on the Murray Regional
Development Board (2005— 2009). He was also a member of the Murray Lower Darling
Community Reference Committee (1999—2004).

Christopher Ryan
Chris has over 40 years experience in manufacturing, commencing with Leesona
(UK) where he took his City and Guilds of the London Institute in Workshop
Technology. Chris spent two years on voluntary service overseas in Kiribati.
Chris moved to Australia in 1972 working as a methods analyst with Yakka and
then in 1973 moved to Albury as an industrial engineer for H. D. Lee, before
moving to Sanyo and Borg Warner. Chris is a senior member of the Institute of
Industrial Engineers. Chris is married to Juliana and has seven children.

Raymond Stubbs Treasurer
Ray was employed continuously in NSW metropolitan and rural councils for some 40
years before retiring in 1999. He spent the last 20 years of his service at
Albury City Council, initially as deputy town clerk and then as town
clerk/general manager. After making the customary retirees’ sea change to the
NSW South Coast, Ray and his wife Carol returned to Albury and in April 2004 Ray
became the Executive Officer for Murray ROC, as well as for RIVROC (Western
Riverina ROC) in July 2005. The two ROCs formally merged in July 2008 to form
RAMROC which encompasses 18 member councils covering an area of 127,000 square
kilometres.

Cr Margaret Thomson
Margaret has been a Councillor with the Wentworth Shire Council for ten years
and Mayor for five years. She is a Board Member of the Wentworth District
Bendigo Community Bank, Mallee Family Care, Sunraysia Rural Financial
Counselling Service and the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens. Margaret is
married to Colin and they live at Curlwaa on their citrus property.

Jennifer Weller Deputy Chairman
Jennifer started her working life as a microbiologist at Tooth’s Brewery in
Sydney before moving to SPC as technical manager. Jennifer joined Uncle Toby’s
as research and development manager and performed other high level roles before
becoming general manager of Hadar Homes. Jennifer was a finalist in the 2007
Telstra Business Women’s Awards and was the Victorian winner of the 2007 Telstra
Business Woman of the Year (Business Innovation Category) and was awarded
Business Woman of the Year 2004 by Business and Professional Women’s
International (Albury Chapter). Currently Jennifer works as business consultant
with SED. Jennifer lives in Corowa with her husband and two children.

Mike Duncan
Mike Duncan is General Manager of West Corurgan Private Irrigation District based in Berrigan.
Prior professional experience includes management roles in manufacturing, waste water treatment
and mechanical services. Previously Mike operated his own business as a Private Inquiry Agent
providing investigation services and litigation support in fraud, arson, workplace injuries and
other matters across NSW and Victoria. Prior to that, service in the South Australia Police as
a Patrol Officer and Prosecutor. Community Service includes Service Director and Youth Services
Director of the Apex Club (Mt Barker SA), President of the Middle Indigo School Council, Chair
of the Upper Murray Regional Library , Councillor of Indigo Shire and a volunteer firefighter
with the Indigo Valley Fire Brigade CFA. Mike lives in Cobram.
